Kingsplate

The chest piece of the Kingsguard set.

Stats by rarity

Kingsplate found on floor 21, at each rarity. Drops and shops go up to Mythic; Gilded comes only from merging two Mythics.

Its set stat

Every Kingsguard piece has one stat that grows with the set. For Kingsplate it is armor: that number is multiplied by how many Kingsguard pieces you wear. With two on it counts double, with five it counts five times. The card says it in words: "Wear 2 Kingsguard: 2x its armor." 2 worn: +648, 3 worn: +972, 5 worn: +1620 (Common, floor 21). See how sets work.

The Kingsguard set

Kingsguard Guard the hoard.

2+20% armor, +20% gold find.
3Gain armor equal to 4% of your gold.
5Once per battle, when your armor breaks, pay 10% of your gold to restore it fully.

Where it is found

Kingsplate can be found from floor 21 on, in The Hoard Heart and below: in the floor's market, from the merchant, in chests, as a drop, and in a boss's pick of three. Loot leans toward the sets you already wear, so wearing Kingsguard makes more of it turn up. Kingsguard starts locked: its pieces appear once you have won 12 battles while wearing two or more Wyrmscale pieces.

Price and selling

At Common, found on floor 21, Kingsplate is priced at 460 gold. Prices grow by 20% a floor, and the merchant below the first depth adds a quarter. Selling pays 40% of the price. An etching adds to both.

Merging it

Two copies of Kingsplate at the same rarity merge into one of the next rarity, up to Gilded. The merged piece keeps the higher level and the better etching.
