Set bonuses
Wear 2, 3 or 5 Bloodbound pieces and each tier below switches on. They add up: at five pieces you have all three.

The fine print
- 3 pieces. Every strike adds 1 bleed. See bleed.
- 5 pieces. Healing that would go past full health restores lost armor instead.
How it plays
The game's own set card sums Bloodbound up in three lines:
Heal as you hit. Strikes bleed from 3.
- Strong against: Long fights, packs.
- Weak against: One huge blow before you can heal.
The set stat
Every Bloodbound piece has one stat, its set stat, that is multiplied by how many Bloodbound pieces you wear. Two pieces double each one's set stat, five pieces count it five times. That is why a third and fourth piece are worth more than their own numbers suggest. See how sets work.
Pieces
Nine pieces: one for each of the seven slots, a second weapon and a second ring (you wear two rings). Stats shown are Common, found on floor 11.

Synergies
Two pieces of Bloodbound with two pieces of another set wake a synergy:
- Crimson Edge with Duskfang: Crits apply 2 bleed.
- Briar Blood with Thornwood: Your leech also heals from thorns damage.
- Plague with Ratcatcher: Poisoned enemies also gain 1 bleed when they act.
Heroes
Hero select lists Bloodbound as a good fit for Anselm. Any hero can wear it.
Finding it
Bloodbound pieces appear from floor 11 on, in The Drowned Reliquary and below, which is part of the full game. Loot leans toward the sets you already wear: each Bloodbound piece on you makes the next one more likely, and while you wear two or more the floor market and the merchant offer a piece you are missing. Winning 20 battles with two or more Bloodbound pieces on opens Duskfang.
