Set bonuses
Wear 2, 3 or 5 Mawborn pieces and each tier below switches on. They add up: at five pieces you have all three.

The fine print
- 3 pieces. Each kill heals 15% of your maximum health and adds 10% power for the rest of the battle. It stacks with every kill.
- 5 pieces. An enemy whose blow lands on you takes half your power back, ignoring armor.
How it plays
The game's own set card sums Mawborn up in three lines:
Kills heal you and feed your power.
- Strong against: Packs: every kill feeds you.
- Weak against: Lone bosses: nothing to devour.
The set stat
Every Mawborn piece has one stat, its set stat, that is multiplied by how many Mawborn pieces you wear. Two pieces double each one's set stat, five pieces count it five times. That is why a third and fourth piece are worth more than their own numbers suggest. See how sets work.
Pieces
Nine pieces: one for each of the seven slots, a second weapon and a second ring (you wear two rings). Stats shown are Common, found on floor 21.

Synergies
Two pieces of Mawborn with two pieces of another set wake a synergy:
- Gildmaw with Gilded: Devouring pockets a quarter of the floor's standard
gold.
Finding it
Mawborn pieces appear from floor 21 on, in The Hoard Heart and below, which is part of the full game. Loot leans toward the sets you already wear: each Mawborn piece on you makes the next one more likely, and while you wear two or more the floor market and the merchant offer a piece you are missing. Mawborn starts locked: its pieces appear once you have won 20 battles while wearing two or more Gilded pieces.
