Where it is found
Worn gear is what the first floors hand you. It is always Common when found, shows up often on floors 1 to 4, seldom on floors 5 to 10 and never after floor 10. Three Worn pieces wait in the very first market as a starter kit. Worn pieces never carry an etching.
Price and selling
At Common, found on floor 1, Frayed Trousers is priced at 5 gold. Prices grow by 20% a floor, and the merchant below the first depth adds a quarter. Selling pays 40% of the price. An etching adds to both.
Merging it
Two copies of Frayed Trousers at the same rarity merge into one of the next rarity, up to Gilded. The merged piece keeps the higher level and the better etching.
