An archivist hunting a name struck from the books. Curses and arcana that ignore armor.

Skill: Hex Bolt

Deal 200% arcana + power and apply 2 weak.

Twice your arcana plus your power, all of it arcane, so armor does not soak it. Then the target is weakened for 2 turns: it deals 30% less. Like every skill it costs mana only: it has no cooldown and does not end your turn.

Passive: Malediction

Each strike curses the target: it takes +4% damage per curse, up to 10.

Curses stack to 10 on each enemy, so a long fight ends with that enemy taking 40% more from everything, skills and burns included.

Specialization: Hexfont

Kills restore 1 mana. Skills deal +25% damage.

The 25% applies to every skill, tome skills included. The mana comes back on each kill, up to your maximum.

A specialization replaces the passive; you play one or the other. Ossa's opens when Ossa's own best floor is 20 or deeper, and you switch it in the hero's details at hero select. The Daily Descent and the Season Descent always use the base passive.

Base stats

Ossa starts every run with +20 health, +3 armor, +1 power, +3 arcana, +5% crit chance, +50% crit damage, +4 mana, a Rusty Shortsword and 30 gold (more with the Endurance trial or the Pilfered Crown). Everything else comes from gear. What each number does is on the stats page.

Good with

Hero select names three sets that suit Ossa. Any hero can wear any set; these are a starting point.

Hexweave Curse and wither.

3Strikes apply weak: the enemy deals 30% less damage.
5Weakened enemies take +50% arcane damage.

Starwrought Spells, twice.

2+2 mana.
3Gain 1 extra mana each turn.
5Skills cost 1 less (never free) and cast twice.

Rimeglass Freeze them solid.

2Strikes apply 1 chill. 3 chill freezes: the enemy skips its turn.
3+40% armor. +50% damage to frozen enemies.
5Frozen enemies below 25% health shatter.
