Prices are for one found on floor 11, and grow by 20% a floor. Two of the same rarity merge into the next, so spare copies are worth keeping. Shops and drops offer it up to Legendary; merging or a forge takes it higher, and Gilded comes only from merging.
How it works
Keep it in your bag: it is not worn. Once per battle, the blow that would kill you leaves you alive with the health shown above. With several hearts in the bag only the strongest is used, and only once. While it can still save you this battle a ward icon shows under your bars. It is spent for the rest of that battle and ready again for the next.
Where it is found
The Gilt Heart is sold only by the merchant, from floor 11 on, as one of his two bag wares. It never drops and never shows in the floor's market.
