Auto
Auto plays the turns that need no thought, and stops the moment one does.
Where it is
A chip marked "Auto" at the foot of the fight, left of the speed chip. It appears once the lessons and both tips are done, or the lessons are switched off. Tap it on or off; the game remembers. Long-press it: "Auto: plays plain turns. Stops for danger, bosses, under 40% health".
What it plays
In this order, each turn:
- your hero's own skill, whenever there is mana for it;
- GUARD, if GUARD is gold only because its bash would out-damage your ATTACK;
- otherwise ATTACK.
When it stops
Auto hands the turn back to you, and the chip pulses, when:
- the fight is a boss's or a Warden's: all of it;
- GUARD is gold to save your life, or to brace against a big blow;
- ATTACK would kill you and GUARD could not save you;
- your health is under 40%.
What it never does
It never casts a tome's skill, uses a tonic or flask, changes target, absorbs a piece, shops, opens a room or takes the way on. Those stay yours. So does everything between fights: Auto fights, it does not build.
Paired with the speed chip at 2x or 3x it makes the early floors of a strong run quick. It is not a way to win: the fights that decide a run are the ones it stops for.
