Games like Megaloot on your phone
Megaloot is a PC game. It is on Steam for Windows at $9.99, and there is no iPhone or Android version on the App Store or Google Play. The nine below are the closest you can play on a phone: runs that start with nothing, loot that decides your build, and builds that get stronger than they should.
We make Gold Below, the first game on the list, so read that entry knowing it. Every price and ad note was checked on the US App Store and Google Play on 23 October 2026; stores change prices, so trust the store page over this one.
Is Megaloot on iPhone or Android?
No. Megaloot came out on Steam on 30 August 2024 for Windows, and as of 23 October 2026 neither the App Store nor Google Play lists it. Apps with similar names on the stores are other games.
1. Gold Below
A pixel loot roguelike played in portrait. You buy gear between turns, merge two of the same piece into a rarer one and stack one of 22 sets until the numbers get silly, across thirty floors and seven bosses. Every enemy shows its next move, so fights are turn-based reading, not reflexes. Every player's death feeds one shared dragon's hoard, and each month the first player to win a Season Descent takes it.
iPhone and Android · first ten floors free, one purchase unlocks the rest · no ads or energy · plays offline · App Store · Google Play · wiki
2. LootShrine: Roguelite RPG
Pixel art, turn-based fights against up to six enemies in two rows, and 120 floors. Every item is a choice: equip it for stats, absorb it mid-battle for a short surge, or sacrifice it at the shrine for permanent power in that run.
iPhone (not on Google Play) · first 10 floors free, one purchase unlocks the full game · plays offline · App Store
3. Shattered Pixel Dungeon
The classic turn-based dungeon roguelike. You find, identify and upgrade gear on the way down, and your build is whatever the dungeon hands you. Less shopping than Megaloot, more exploring.
iPhone $4.99 · Android free with optional supporter purchases, no ads · App Store · Google Play
4. Buriedbornes2
A room-by-room dungeon RPG: pick one of two rooms, choose which items to take and which of up to five skills to use next, and build a character strong enough to crush the undead. The closest to Megaloot's stat stacking among the free games here.
iPhone and Android · free with in-app purchases · the Android version shows ads · App Store · Google Play
5. Loop Hero
Your hero walks a loop and fights automatically; you place the enemies and terrain with cards and equip the loot each loop brings back. Swapping gear between fights is the Megaloot part.
iPhone and Android · free to try, one purchase unlocks the full game · no ads on Google Play · App Store · Google Play
6. Backpack Battles
Inventory as a puzzle: what you buy matters, and where you place it in the bag matters more. Items combine into stronger ones, and fights play out on their own against other players' builds.
iPhone and Android · $9.99 · no ads or in-app purchases on Google Play · App Store · Google Play
7. Dungeon Clawler
A deckbuilder where each turn you grab weapons, shields and items out of a claw machine. The artefacts and item combos you collect across a run are the build.
iPhone and Android · $6.99 · no ads or in-app purchases · App Store · Google Play
8. Just Loot
Nothing but the gear chase: instant dungeon runs, randomized affixes, rarities from Common to Mythic, and a character built only from equipment. More idle game than roguelike.
iPhone and Android · free with in-app purchases · no ads on Google Play · App Store · Google Play
9. Slay the Spire and Balatro
If the part of Megaloot you love is watching a build snowball, these two do it with cards instead of gear. Slay the Spire climbs a tower with a deck and relics; Balatro stacks poker multipliers until the score breaks.
both on iPhone and Android · $9.99 each · no ads or in-app purchases · Slay the Spire: App Store, Google Play · Balatro: App Store, Google Play
How we picked
Megaloot's loop is: start each run with nothing, loot and buy items, fill your gear slots and grow a setup that gets absurdly strong. We kept games where items or gear drive the build and every run starts over. Know one we missed? Write to team@ddtechsolution.com.
